#DENNYVISITS PHILADELPHIA x CHESTER, PA.

BLOG SPONSORED BY

Last Monday, my buddy Shawn and I visited PA, specifically Philly and Chester. We met up with an old friend of mine Curran J. Swift, owner of KRT, the brand that sponsored this current post. He became our tour guide and saw both cities thru his eyes. It was an eventful day filled with rich histories and wonderful, talented people who are now good friends. Let's get to know more about more about Curran J.

Curran about his love of the city and opinion on style:

I'm passionate about Philadelphia because this is where I was born and raised. At a young age I learned to maneuver through the good and work my way away from the bad of this city. Nevertheless, one of the aspects I love most about this city is the immensely diverse and eclectic array of people, places, and things. Here it is easy for me dig deep into my innovative pits to really focus on honing my craft. There is so much inspiration around me, as well as an infinite amount of creative apparatuses to operate with and take advantage of. Fashionisto's such as myself are on the uprise here in Philadelphia because we are getting more notoriety. "

The second part of the trip was a drive to Chester, PA. We ate at the infamous Abu The Juiceman's restaurant, visited Curran's father, Kenya Abdulhadi (@kenyaabdulhadi) and Coach Gaines (@coach_gaines) at their Search and Rescue workshop and had a mini shoot on their rooftop.

Coach Gaines on his views about PA, fashion and Search and Rescue squad:

" What I love about PA the most is the authenticity of its people. It's an "It is what it is" kind of town. The fashion is filtered. Although we are inspired by NY, every trend doesn't make the cut. Allowing us the ability to set our own standard. Search and Rescue is about revival and renewal. Basically taking what is thought to be nothing by some and making it something for all to enjoy. "

The last part of the trip to make the another talented man from Philly. That gentleman is non other Hamid Holloman, the owner of Custom Lifestyle brand.

Custom Lifestyle by Hamid Holloman is a representation of one's individuality and uniqueness. Philadelphia-born Hamid Holloman is inspired by his surroundings in all forms from bold patterns, design and style. Follow his journey as he creates one of a kind tangible works of art from timeless textiles.

There it is! It was definitely a very historic trip! I've made friends with people that has the same passion as me...and that's the coolest souvenir I'm bringing back. Also, duh, I didn't forget about the infamous Philly Cheesesteak!

  1. Their manager rocks! Thanks to their great team, I'm so happy I chose these San Francisco event venues for my event! I had a great time here and think the atmosphere is as good as it gets. I will be astonished if I ever find a negative review on these guys.
